profileI am a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon who sub-specialises in hand and wrist surgery.

My NHS practice is based at St George’s Hospital, one of Europe’s leading teaching hospitals and also one of London’ s Major Trauma Centres where I am the Clinical Director for the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics.

My work here comprises a fantastic mix of complex high energy wrist and hand trauma and the subsequent complications of it, especially mal-union and non-union of radial and scaphoid fractures. I am interested in wrist pain, wrist instability, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and sports injuries. I have research interests in Dupuytren’s Disease and am Principle Investigator at St Georges for the NIHR multicentre trial looking at surgery versus collagenase as treatments.

My private practice is based at Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, London.

Having qualified from Oxford University in 1996,   I specialised in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the St George’s registrar programme in London. I super-specialised in hand /wrist surgery with fellowships at the Windsor Hand Clinic under the world renowned David Evans and the premier specialist plastics hand unit in Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.

My philosophy is simple: to treat patients as I would like myself to be treated. I work closely with allied professionals (hand therapists, physiotherapists, radiologists…) with the aim of delivering excellent, total care for all patients.
